Acceptable Use Policy

Comply with the law

You must use iVex only in compliance with all laws and regulations that apply to you, including the laws of the country or region where you are when you use it. You are responsible for determining whether using privacy or encryption software is lawful there.

iVex is not a way to avoid legal obligations, and you may not use it to commit or help commit any illegal act.

Prohibited uses

You may not use iVex, or let anyone else use your account, to:

• carry out, plan or facilitate any illegal activity;
• create, store or distribute child sexual abuse material, or any content that exploits minors;
• commit fraud, phishing, identity theft or financial crime;
• distribute malware, or operate botnets or command-and-control infrastructure;
• gain or attempt unauthorised access to any system, network or account, or scan for vulnerabilities without the owner's permission;
• launch denial-of-service attacks or otherwise disrupt any network or service;
• send spam or other unsolicited bulk messages;
• infringe copyright, trademark or other intellectual property rights;
• harass, threaten or incite violence against any person;
• evade United States or other applicable sanctions or export controls;
• resell, share or redistribute access to the service, or interfere with its operation or with other subscribers' use of it;
• use BitTorrent. Nodes block that traffic.

Enforcement

If we have reason to believe an account is being used in breach of this policy, we may warn the subscriber, restrict the service, or suspend or terminate the account without refund where the law allows. We cooperate with valid legal process from competent authorities.

Reporting abuse

Report suspected misuse of iVex to legal@marramsoftware.com, and security vulnerabilities to security@marramsoftware.com. Include as much detail as you can.

Changes and language

We may update this policy and will change the effective date above when we do.

This policy is published in English and Simplified Chinese. If the versions differ, the English version governs.
